I only wanted to put the book on my shelf...

So I received this book in the mail yesterday. I had previously read it and wanted it only to add to my collection of favorite books. I ordered it in Like-new condition, but when it came in the mail it didn't have a dust jacket! This was extremely disappointing as the entire point of buying it was to display the wonderful cover! When the book was NEW it had a dust jacket, so a book advertised as LIKE-NEW should also have one. This is terribly misleading to the buyer!

Wow! I couldn't wait to see what happened next!

The book Divergent is about a strong and brave sixteen year old that overcomes her fears by living her security of her family and becoming an adult in a world of mutiny, corruptness and love. She must face her biggest fears and learn what it means to be so different. A young girl named Beatris Pryor lives in a dystopian society that has taken over the destroyed city of Chicago. The people here live in groups called “factions”. She has five faction choices in Amity, Abnegation, Candor, Dauntless, or Erudite and must choose when she turns sixteen . She has to choose or she will become factionless (otherwise known as homeless.) But by choosing, she may have to leave her birth family and they will act like she doesn’t exist. The consequences of choosing the faction she feels drawn to could possibly bring about her death or it could mean happiness with a man with whom she falls deeply in love. She faces an aptitude test that will help her choose but instead reveals a secret that must remain that way or place her in a position she doesn’t want to face. I can’t wait to read the next book “Insurgent”. I definitely give this book a five out of five stars!

Divergent book review

The book was a whole lot better than the movie. there was so much more depth to the story line and it made a whole lot more sense. Because i had watched the movie first there were somethings that i wasn't expecting. The main characters were Tris, Four, Christina, and Peter. There is less overall blood than what there was in the movie which I liked.

I use this website all the time when looking for books and have noticed some off things.. that I would ignore because of the great prices, but this time I can't ignore it... I ordered this book(in English) and when I got it in the mail the book was completely in RUSSIAN.. YUP RUSSIAN.

So much better than the movie

Great Idea!

The storyline makes for a great idea but the main love relationship feels rushed. There’s so much that could be done with this idea of the factions and for that reason, the book definitely kept me interested.

This book is a must read!!

It has the perfect amount of everything! It is a great book for any reader! Just enough action without super gory details.

I ordered this in good condition and it arrived in DEPLORABLE condition. Was still a fantastic casual read.

One of my favorites

Divergent is one of my favorite books. I have the entire trilogy. It's much better than the movie. Much more detail, and a lot more background.

Very good book

I really liked the book more than I liked the movies, the book has more interesting facts that weren't completely explained in the movies which make them a must.

Absolutly love it

A great book with just the right amount of Action, Romance, and Suspense. Kept me on the edge of my seat!

Book much much better than the movie if you liked the hunger games you will like this series

If youve seen the movie dont worry. The book is a completly differnt story. After reading this series you will become engraged at a single preview for any of the movies.
