Walked away feeling a little disappointed

This book seems to be more geared towards those who work in social work or mental health, and there was a lot of discussions on possible professional treatments, which I knew I couldn't afford. I hoped there would be a discussion of, "Great! How do I uninstall?" but it wasn't until the last chapter, and it didn't feel substantial. I would recommend if you have a general interest, but not trying to self-help.

Everyone should read this book!

This book has changed the way I look at trauma in my life as well as those I work with. I highly recommend this book to anyone working with trauma survivors even outside of a therapeutic medical setting (homeless shelters, human trafficking, etc.) or even anyone who works closely with the body itself in any realm. It will bring greater understanding to your life. All in all, I learned a lot from this book and cannot sing it's praises enough.

Understanding trauma

It is a very interesting book and presented trauma in a way I hadn’t thought of.

The Best Book on Trauma and PTSD.

This book not only goes over the psychological aspects of trauma, but also the neurological (in a small part and it is broken down for even beginners to understand) and even a bit on the sociological standpoint. Best of all, it not only explains it, but also has a whole section on healing from it. I reccomend this book to everyone. People who have experienced trauma, those who care about others who have experienced trauma and just the general population should know this! This is an amazing and eye-opening!
